Worship

Sunday Morning Worship (September to June)

We gather for the worship of God at our weekly services every Sunday at 10:00 a.m., as well as at special seasonal services such as Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Christmas Eve. In worship, we encounter the presence and the love of the Living God through music, scripture, prayer, sermon, and ritual.

We celebrate communion on the first Sunday of every month.  In seeking to follow in the way of Jesus, who broke bread with sinners, tax collectors, prostitutes, lepers, and pharisees, as well as with the disciples (even the ones who would betray, deny, and doubt him), we celebrate an open communion table.  All are welcome to feast at the table of God, regardless of age or status, denomination or creed, past mistakes or future uncertainties.

We celebrate the sacrament of baptism for people of all ages, from infant to adult.  Baptisms take place during our regular worship services so that the whole community can pledge their love and support for the one being baptized.  If you are interested in baptism for yourself or your child, please contact the pastor.

Summer Union Services (July, August, & Labor Day)

During the summer months, we join with our friends at the East Woodstock Congregational Church for union services.  In the month of July, the two congregations worship together here at FCCW.  For the month of August and Labor Day weekend, we worship together at the East Woodstock church (220 Woodstock Road, East Woodstock).  Summer services are held each Sunday at 9:00 a.m.  All are welcome!
